how things have changed
and nothing is what it seems
what i get and go for
the in-betweens
best is sort and sum
worst is it’s a surprise
and it’s relative
takes time to rediscover
patience - give another chance
i come back to this
bring focus into longing
to get specific - why?
the eyes soften
the face softens
the neck softens
a low buzz desire
stubbed out still smoldering

note to self
in order to transform our society, city and neighborhoods
“The picture that begins to emerge from this and other analyses of human genetic variation is that variation tends to be geographically structured, such that most individuals from the same geographic region will be more similar to one another than to individuals from a distant region.[57]”

not2much
not too much but some/thinking of you
and such warmth/your smell faint
fall ring a bell/have a ball/true luck
good wishes/hooks escape their fishes
a pull a rush/i’ve had enough
could be a cold and lonely world
could be a ray of light streaming
weakly stabbing/trace the cracks
contours/shades of grey
erupt into brilliance born/new day
fist of Quan Yin
after all these years, after you’ve left
what hidden, buried
woolen, scratchy
i hear you, i’ll listen now
i don’t want to move on
into that sea of icy glares without
i am adrift, rigging unmoored
exhaustion avoidance, flexible thinking
yet this ship is sinking, mind ringing
cough it up, spit it out, let’s have a sea
tide rush polar ice cap melt, austerity belt
chastity […]
arizona 2 new mexico
500 miles to go
Climb the soft sandstone
And round red rock
I catch a glimpse, get a shock
When old man desert whispers
stories of our origins
the inevitable undoing
Approaching summit
Dry river bed snakes parallel
Boulders become slabs of slate
Grey and green — your eyes flash out at me
I suppose surprised
The feeling, raw
Yet the wind cools
Ice melts this thaw
Pine trees shiver […]

truth of lie/time signature
can i leave behind thi(s)hell
this habituated manner of living?
overthrow the status quo
free mind/body from this experience?
instigate the establishment of a new context?
capture breath, subtle silver net
the river courses streaming
our cause and purpose unfolds over time

triyak lok (the slanting world)
tonight my friends and enemies
my fears and expectations
longings and memories and premonitions
could i make peace with you?
there is a place a space of strength
i remember communication shared expression
the joke’s on me, on all of us
i forgot to breathe, to laugh for a minute
but it all happened
just in time, casual/causal
slipped out repeat
precious value of friendship
shouldered burden […]
