I’m a lucky man and confident
Take my life in my own hand
Guide and direct it
Can be a surprise and a gamble
But my watch says we got time
To get there and ramble
Not satisfied to simply go through the motions
Dissecting my habits and questioning notions
Like doing something for you
Doesn’t that do
Something for me?
And what I want is a chance for us all to be free
Self-reflect and heal, trip the true and real
It’s what I find when I open my mind
It’s the call I hear when I use my ear
To listen inwardly, it’s the space/time
It’s the space/time
Fear is the fuel I’ve spent, now scatter the ashes
Rode it this far but I jump off before it crashes
What I can’t say I’ll show
Try to honor what I owe
Not just put on a show
But teach you how to grow
Reach you with what I know
It’s not insignificant
Reap what I sow
To begin again, to bring to breathe
To start again and to leave
