THE CALLOUS DECADENTS are the enemy of global progress, closed-minded little “me” approach hoarding wealth building fortresses and machines of death. They will be overcome. Obviously weak and scared, ridiculous and self-serving models they promote: bio-engineering, patenting and intellectual property. Nothing more than carving it up, the privatization of everything, the rule of k on all scales….a fascist and horrific plan for us all. Is it necessary to state that this is not the best imaginable use of our society, technology and finite material resources? There exist an infinite number of potential arrangements.
Static is contrary to natural tendency. Takes energy to maintain. Limited thinking à falling behind. Society invested in channeling and regulating, surveilling, imprisoning, drugging and entertaining. Not efficient. Not logical. Unfulfilling, dangerously out of touch, not fun living in service of k.
The illusion is bursting at the seams. Ill-health, environmental destruction and general dissatisfaction abounds. The polarizing nature of this model is made clear by its success. Ever-voracious, deluded by belief in the spectacle of its own creation, the ratio of wealth extracted to table crumbs handed out is tightened. The benefits of imperialism become more concentrated and the model comes home to roost. Our modern feudal state: centers of data, money, lethal/punitive force surrounded by urban decay and rural poverty. We don’t know what to do with ourselves. We are at the limits of the model. The contradictions mount.
The people of the world have an alternative history to express and explore. What we have believed and experienced may not be much use in developing solutions to the problems that confront us. It is clear that we are living times of change and the question is whether we will wake up in time to realize the value of common interest or all be subject to the fascist slavery of k.
Throughout the US and around the world individuals are coming together to form communities to adjust and supplant this model with one that can fulfill their desires. This requires personal change and improvement, exploring and sharing other perspectives to establish a consensus of shared values and then working together to achieve these goals.
This manual is intended to assist you in locating yourself within such alternative change.
